Alan St. Jean was born in Pittsburgh, PA on Christmas Day, 1962. He grew up in central Ohio and attended college at The Ohio State University, graduating in 1985 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Mr. St. Jean spent the first twenty years of his professional career in business and management when, in 2002, he made a life changing decision to pursue his true passion, which is a love for writing and teaching. In 2007, he completed the final book of the award winning Aidan of Oren medieval trilogy, a heartwarming and epic tale of friendship and courage written for all ages.

 

His next project, a three edition picture book series called The Daydreams Collection, made its debut in 2008 and was an immediate smash success. In 2010, he wrote his first novel, a thriller for the young adult and above audiences called The Chronicles of Oren. A prequel to the Aidan of Oren trilogy, it is cleverly complex and entertainingly haunting - and has become his #1 seller to date.

A talented speaker, Mr. St. Jean spends much of his time visiting schools and teaching children about the writing process. In his spare time, he can be found at his piano or in the studio, where he is also an accomplished musician and songwriter. In the late 1990's, Alan met Jay and Justin Robison, the 'crazy-talented' musicians that help bring his music and videos to life (which you will find when you visit the Music and Videos pages).

 

Alan is a life-long Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Penguins fan. He resides in central Ohio with his wife, Judy. They have four sons, four daughter's-in-law and four grandsons.
